Canoeing

Let us plan the type and length of trip you want, from a day paddle on a local pond or river to a multi-day camping trip. Participants are taught canoe safety, paddling and steering techniques, and boating etiquette, as well as how to read a river and avoid obstacles. We’ll stop or point out the best swimming holes, rope swings, and historic and natural landmarks. If we keep our eyes out, we may see majestic bald eagles, aquatic flowers, and other beautiful plants and animals that live in and along our waterways. Whether they are learning to paddle for the first time or honing skills, at the end of the day participants will leave with renewed confidence. And with two or more people per boat working together to successfully maneuver, the group will leave with more trust in each other and with valuable cooperation skills.
